Redecorating the interior seems simple: you just pick your color and start painting. But what really matters in the end are the excellent results you want to achieve without too much hassle. No worries we are here to help. Here’s some ideas you can choose from when you want to refresh a room.
ALL YOU NEED
First of all make sure you have everything you need: brush/paint roller, tools and, of course, the right amount of paint. It is not exactly recommended to run to the store in the middle of your painting process just because you realized something’s missing.
COVER AND PROTECT
Don’t start painting before covering the floor and furniture. Cover the floor with a tarp and move all the furniture and other decorative objects to another room. This way, your work will be clean, with no stains. Furthermore, you can remove the switches and the sockets you don’t want to paint.
THE RIGHT SURFACE
The most important step is, undoubtedly, the surface preparation. It must be free from impurities, smooth and without cracks – if necessary, fill the cracks using a repair putty. We recommend you to first sand the wall and after that to apply the G8101 Primer. This primer facilitates the painting operation.
THE PAINT QUALITY
Be very careful when you choose your paint. Read the technical sheet very carefully and follow the instructions regarding the conditions, the application method and the drying time. Moreover, you must pay attention to the number of coats you want to apply – ore does not necessarily mean better.
EXCELLENT RESULTS
Once you have finished painting and the wall is dry, you can finish your work. Carefully remove the tarp and put back everything that you moved. Enjoy your new interior!
